Recommendations:

Saturday is practically a festival unto itself, with the Annual Celtic Festival, the ACME Bike & Music Fest and BOE’s First Anniversary Party all offering live music throughout the day. Our top pick, though, is the Reason 2 Rock Music Festival at Solace Outpost. This year’s festival benefits the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and runs from 1:30–8:45 PM, featuring DJ L Boogie, Champagne Velvet, Chapter 11, Ladywood and headliner Sauri Power Pill—five acts, plenty of variety and a genuinely good reason to rock.

On Friday, catch Doc Holiday bringing a crowd-friendly mix of rock, pop and alternative hits to Ballston Local at 8:30 PM. I caught them last time they were there I had a blast. Not many bands include a French Horn to rock out. Then on Sunday, head to JV’s for Guy Bouchie and the Heart Fixers, serving up original Southern rock, soulful jams, classic blues and plenty of fiery guitar work at 8:30 PM.
